ABOUT GOD

I wanted to make it clear to everyone where I stand on the issue of god. What I mean is the speaking of the word god. There are so many different beliefs among the people on this that it is ridiculous. Some say we must write it “G-d”, some say it is pagan and we should not use it at all.

This word occurs 2605 times in the KJV. It is translated as “god” 2366 times. Translated as “gods” 216 times. As “god’s” 7 times. “Judges” 4 times. “Goddess” 2 times. “Great” 2 times. “Mighty” 2 times. And “angels” 1 time.

To save time the following is copied from the Complete Word Study Dictionary. This is not the top end of what I use for study but it will suffice for this article. Also, I appologize for the spacing, I couldn't get it to close up.

H430
ֱאֹלִהים
elōhiym

: A masculine plural noun meaning God, gods, judges, angels. Occurring more than 2,600 times in the Old Testament, this word commonly designates the one true God (Gen_1:1) and is often paired with God's unique name yehōwāh (H3068) (Gen_2:4; Psa_100:3). When the word is used as the generic designation of God, it conveys in Scripture that God is the Creator (Gen_5:1); the King (Psa_47:7 [8]); the Judge (Psa_50:6); the Lord (Psa_86:12); and the Savior (Hos_13:4). His character is compassionate (Deu_4:31); gracious (Psa_116:5); and faithful to His covenant (Deu_7:9). In fewer instances, this word refers to foreign gods, such as Dagon (1Sa_5:7) or Baal (1Ki_18:24). It also might refer to judges (Exo_22:8-9 [7-8]) or angels as gods (Psa_97:7). Although the form of this word is plural, it is frequently used as if it were singular-that is, with a singular verb (Gen_1:1-31; Exo_2:24). The plural form of this word may be regarded (1) as intensive to indicate God's fullness of power; (2) as majestic to indicate God's kingly rule; or (3) as an allusion to the Trinity (Gen_1:26). The singular form of this word elôah (H433) occurs only in poetry (Psa_50:22; Isa_44:8). The shortened form of the word is ’ēl (H410).

Notice right about in the middle of this description it tells us this word can also refer to foreign gods. It is the same word in the original manuscripts. It is “elohim”. It is a word meaning god or gods. There is no logical reason to apply the holiness to this word that some apply to it. If you have verifiable information to the contrary then I am more than willing to listen.

So we can see now that the idea of leaving out a letter is just kind of silly. I have even had one person explain that they leave a letter out so if the paper it is written on is destroyed the name of god won’t be destroyed. This same person didn’t have a problem with writing out elohim or YHWH or Yahweh. This just doesn’t make any sense.

This kind of thing among the people casts a shadow on our credibility when the gentiles inspect us. And they ARE inspecting us and finding a lot of inconsistencies.

Are You Numb?

There is something that I am noticing among people who call themselves believers that is disturbing. This article is going to upset some but hopefully it will also wake some up.

Let’s start with an example. A person you have met says they have been in the walk for three or maybe even five years. They have settled on what they think the Father and the messiah’s name is. They understand the Sabbath and maybe something like clean and unclean. They also have chosen one to three “favorite teachers”.

These people will talk about Torah and all the things they now understand. They will go on endlessly about the blindness of the Christians and wonder “How is it those Christians can’t see these things?”

They also will pick up a favorite topic like maybe food and get on the “gmo” bandwagon posting dozens of scary posts on Facebook or even spend hours making videos for Youtube.

Or maybe it’s end time politics that they get into and do postings on how corrupt the government is or how we need to do something about a particular issue that is highly disturbing to them.

But when a brother or sister hints to them about obedience in a certain area or points to a teaching on something in particular they pull up short. One of the most common responses is “Well, I see what you’re saying but the Father hasn’t spoken to me about it yet.” Or maybe they say “I just don’t see it that way.” Perhaps they say “You don’t understand, I have circumstances that prevent me from”…. Whatever the issue is.

Let’s look at the first response for a minute. What is meant by “the Father hasn’t spoken to me yet.“ We are right in the middle of the age of instant communications. There are literally hundreds of teachers out there and I have noticed that when these people are ask if they have read or seen a teaching on certain issues they almost always say they have.

They also of course, have read the bible on these things. So my question is “What do you mean by “”The Father hasn’t spoken to me yet?””

We all know the story of the man on the roof during a flood pray of god to deliver him. A helicopter comes by but the man refuses a ride saying he is waiting on god to deliver him. A boat comes by and gets the same response. When the man is drowning he asks god why he didn’t deliver him and god tells him “ I sent a helicopter and a boat and you refused.”

I would like someone to explain to me how a person can read the bible, listen to teachings, watch videos, and have brothers and sisters speak to them and still insist “God hasn’t spoken to me yet.”

Is there a possibility these people have a whole lot of head knowledge about the Father but their heart is still not circumcised? Is it possible that they know His name but know nothing of His character and authority in their lives? Or is it possible they are just plain rebellious?

Yom Slishi

Today is the twelfth day of the sixth month. Time is passing quickly. The feast day will be upon us soon. As we prepare ourselves for this time we need to seek the pleasure of the Father. So many want to please themselves so they play lawyer and twist things and ask questions in a way that leads away from the simple truth.
This is the same spirit that we see in Genesis 3:1-4
       1. Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which Yahweh had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has elohim said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; 3 but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, elohim has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.’” 4 The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die!
This is a sign of a heart that is not fully circumcised. We must be obedient without questioning, compromising, or trying to make a deal. We must humble ourselves and fall in love enough that only the Masters pleasure matters to us. Let's all start searching ourselves right now and be sure we are pleasing Him unconditionally before these very important days arrive.  Shalom

How Much Will You Pay?

Did you know you have a shopping cart and a back pack? When we come into an understanding of the truth we are in a condition of carrying a back pack and we are given a cart to carry other things. So imagine this. You have started your walk and you're going along talking to the Most High and as he hands you a package He says  "Put that in the cart, it's yours." So you say, "Really? Well if that's what you want I will gladly take that on."
Just a little way down the road Yah says "How about reaching back there in that pack and throw out that little blue box." So you say"Ok, if you don't like that I don't either." So you throw it out.
So you go on with your walk like this taking and putting off. Then one day He says "Reach back there and get that pretty blue box and throw it away." But you say "Master, surely this is not displeasing to you." And He says "Oh, but it is!" So with a little hesitation you throw it away.
This goes on and on till one day He says "Reach back and get that nice looking colorful box and get rid of it."
You say "Hold on now! I've had this all my life and I like it! Surely you don't mean this!"  And He says "Yes, to walk any further with me you need to drop that now."
Let me tell you something. All of us will come to this point and have this decision to make. It's a thing that you hold dear but is not pleasing to Him. It is the point when you can take a side road and pretend you are still on the path, you can turn back into darkness completely (a very scary thought), or you can move forward into freedom and joy unspeakable.
Have you counted the cost? It will cost you your life. Not necessarily your physical life but it will cost you the worldly things in your life. The things that are an abomination to Him. We are to be in the world but not touch it. Give that some thought and listen closely to His voice and when He speaks step forward into freedom and joy unspeakable.

More Infections You May Have

On yom rishon August 6, I posted an article dealing with infection from the world. That article focused on TV. Today’s article will focus on another infection related to entertainment which is music. Let’s take a look at what one very famous christian says about entertainment in the church.

An evil is in the professed camp of the Lord, so gross in its impudence, that the most shortsighted can hardly fail to notice it during the past few years. It has developed at an abnormal rate, even for evil. It has worked like leaven until the whole lump ferments. The devil has seldom done a cleverer thing than hinting to the church that part of their mission is to provide entertainment for the people, with a view to winning them.

From speaking out as the Puritans did, the church has gradually toned down her testimony, then winked at and excused the frivolities of the day. Then she tolerated them in her borders. Now she has adopted them under the plea of reaching the masses.

My first contention is that providing amusement for the people is nowhere spoken of in the Scriptures as a function of the church. If it is a Christian work, why did not Christ speak of it? "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15). That is clear enough. So it would have been if He had added, "and provide amusement for those who do not relish the gospel." No such words, however, are to be found. It did not seem to occur to him.

Then again, "He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers .., for the work of the ministry" (Eph. 4:11-12). Where do entertainers come in? The Holy Spirit is silent concerning them. Were the prophets persecuted because they amused the people or because they refused? The concert has no martyr roll.

Again, providing amusement is in direct antagonism to the teaching and life of Christ and all his apostles. What was the attitude of the church to the world? Ye are the salt" (Matt. 5:13), not the sugar candy---something the world will spit out not swallow. Short and sharp was the utterance, "Let the dead bury their dead" (Matt. 8:22) He was in awful earnestness.

Had Christ introduced more of the bright and pleasant elements into his mission, he would have been more popular when they went back, because of the searching nature of His teaching. I do not hear him say, "Run after these people Peter and tell them we will have a different style of service tomorrow, something short and attractive with little preaching. We will have a pleasant evening for the people. Tell them they will be sure to enjoy it. Be quick Peter, we must get the people somehow." Jesus pitied sinners, sighed and wept over them, but never sought to amuse them.

In vain will the Epistles be searched to find any trace of this gospel of amusement! Their message is, "Come out, keep out, keep clean out!" Anything approaching fooling is conspicuous by its absence. They had boundless confidence in the gospel and employed no other weapon.

After Peter and John were locked up for preaching, the church had a prayer meeting but they did not pray, "Lord grant unto thy servants that by a wise and discriminating use of innocent recreation we may show these people how happy we are." If they ceased not from preaching Christ, they had not time for arranging entertainments. Scattered by persecution, they went everywhere preaching the gospel. They turned the world upside down (Acts 17:6). That is the only difference! Lord, clear the church of all the rot and rubbish the devil has imposed on her, and bring us back to apostolic methods.

Lastly, the mission of amusement fails to effect the end desired. It works havoc among young converts. Let the careless and scoffers, who thank God because the church met them halfway, speak and testify. Let the heavy laden who found peace through the concert not keep silent! Let the drunkard to whom the dramatic entertainment has been God's link in the chain of the conversion, stand up! There are none to answer. The mission of amusement produces no converts. The need of the hour for today's ministry is believing scholarship joined with earnest spirituality, the one springing from the other as fruit from the root. The need is biblical doctrine, so understood and felt, that it sets men on fire.

This is by Charles Spurgeon 1834-1892

What is striking is the fact that this was written around the 1850s! What would this man think of today’s churches?

There is little doubt that today’s religion is big business and the music is big business too.

I see people who are addicted to music. It is an extremely powerful influence on the mind. I see some people’s music “likes” on face book and I am shocked that they claim to have the ruach kodesh living in them.

Country, rock, alternative, and even heavy metal are on people’s lists. Can anyone tell me what any of this has to do with glorifying the father? We do all know that is our purpose here, right?

Music that talks about cheating on your spouse, getting drunk, being depressed to the point of suicide, and some that is nothing more than demonic growling.

Here are the lyrics to one song by a popular “christian rock” band called Skillet. The name of the song is Monster. Figure that out.

The secret side of me I never let you see
I keep it caged, but I can't control it
So stay away from me, the beast is ugly
I feel the rage and I just can't hold it

It's scratching on the walls, in the closet, in the halls
It comes awake, and I can't control it
Hiding under the bed, in my body, in my head
Why won't somebody come and save me from this, make it end?

I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun
I must confess that I feel like a monster

I, I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster

My secret side I keep hid under lock and key
I keep it caged, but I can't control it
'Cause if I let him out he'll tear me up, break me down
Why won't somebody come and save me from this, make it end?

I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun
I must confess that I feel like a monster

I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster

It's hiding in the dark, it's teeth are razor sharp
There's no escape for me, it wants my soul, it wants my heart
No one can hear me scream, maybe it's just a dream
Maybe it's inside of me, stop this monster

I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun
I must confess that I feel like a monster

I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin
I must confess that I feel like a monster
I've gotta lose control, he something radical
I must confess that I feel like a monster

I, I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster
I, I feel like a monster

I ask a young person one time what this had to do with holy living and the only answer I could get was ‘You just don’t understand.” That’s right, I don’t.

If you are listening to music that you would not play if Yeshua came to your house maybe you should think about it. Maybe it’s time to let that part of the world go and separate yourself.

Journey to Sermon on the Mount Pt. 2

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted.

First let’s look at some definitions for the words used in scripture.

Mourn – to grieve (the feeling or the act), to mourn – (be) wail

Blessed are those who mourn, grieve, wail…what? Before we go there let’s look at shall be comforted.

Most of the definition for shall be comforted is not comforted as we would think.

Shall be comforted – to call near ie: invite; invoke (by imploration, hortation or consolation), beseech, call for, (be of good) comfort, desire, (be of good) comfort, desire, (give) exhort (-ation), intreat, pray

So those that mourn will be called near, called for, invited, beseeched (had to look this up – ask urgently and fervently to do something), desired, exhorted (again defined as strongly encourage or urge (someone) to do something.

WOW – I want to be called near, called out, and invited! I want to be asked to do something! Do you? But by mourning and grieving?

This scripture has a reference to Psalms 126:5-6 so let’s look at it. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. So we have a pattern of tears bringing (coming with) joy, and weeping coming with rejoicing. We will come with happiness after the tears and mourning.

So fortunate and happy are those who mourn and grieve for they will be called, desired to be near and asked to do something.

But here we go again mourn what? What if it is grieving for that huge hole in our heart that we have never been able to fill? What if it is mourning the sin, the lawlessness, we see all around us? Just a thought, was Lot called out of Sodom and Gomorrah because he was grieved by everything happening around him? Do we wail with desire to please our Creator and see others doing the same? Do we grieve for a land with order under the authority of our King? Do we wail over the lack of respect for our Creator? Do we mourn for the day when we will be with Him or are we thinking of all the earthly things we may miss? Are we grieving lost time with Him so much that we are setting aside our desires to spend time with Him, learning who He is? Learning from time in His word and presence?

What if this mourning is a deep desire for more than ourselves, more than being with other humans, more than money can buy, more than entertainment brings, more than anything of this earth? What if all that it takes to be called near, invited, or urgently asked to do something is having the desire for MORE? We should all be looking at our lives and checking for this! Do we have a grievous desire for MORE? If you are content in this world there is a problem. Let’s search ourselves and our desires and make sure they line up with His.

Sukkot, The Reality

Sukkot is fast approaching. Are you observing this very important event? If you are then HOW are you observing it? I want to talk about this eight day time and maybe shed a little light on it for some who seem to be confused about it.

This is one of those things that we (Israelites) do that outsiders look at and think how confused we are. We appear divided because we go around preaching how everyone should be torah observant then we all interpret torah to suit ourselves.

Let’s start with the living quarters for Sukkot first. Since coming into this way I have seen people who gather at motels, people who live in motor homes, tents of varying kinds and those who build what they think is the biblical structure commanded for Sukkot.

But what do the instructions tell us? Nehemiah 8:14-15 clarifies the instructions.

14. They found written in the law how Yahweh had commanded through Moses that the sons of Israel should live in booths during the feast of the seventh month.
15. So they proclaimed and circulated a proclamation in all their cities and in Jerusalem, saying, "Go out to the hills, and bring olive branches and wild olive branches, myrtle branches, palm branches and branches of
other leafy trees, to make booths, as it is written."

Leviticus 23:43 tells us why.
43. so that your generations may know that I had the sons of Israel live in booths when I brought them out from the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your elohim.

So how do so many equate this to motor homes and motels? I have no idea unless it is because they have no view of the big picture. While this week is supposed to be a week of joy as commanded in Lev. 23:40, it is also a reminder of how we came out of Egypt and many say it is a rehearsal for the second exodus.

If this is the case, should we bring the whole house with us and run to the nearest store everyday for what we forgot to bring?

I think it is for our benefit to prepare us for the future AND remind us of the past that we live as closely to the emergency conditions as possible. Plus we are commanded to rejoice through all this so it will help us grow spiritually.

Try to think about what it means to truly leave Egypt and trust the Most High. No contact with the gentiles at all. Can you handle it? Are you prepared and ready for this? If you aren’t, when will you be? Are you taking steps to be ready or are you just doing a lot of talking and thinking you will learn how to swim after the water gets deep?

I can tell you from first hand experience that you will learn some hard lessons the first few times you truly step out on your own or in a group.

I know of a man who calls himself a prepper and a believer and has many followers and makes videos supposedly showing people about camping. This man makes some of the most serious mistakes I have seen. He doesn’t even know how to properly start a fire in the dry let alone in the wet.

All I’m saying is that sukkot is there for several reasons. One is to rehearse and practice. If you are going to truly learn to swim you need to get in the water not just play at the waters edge. Even if you are in the back yard, can you keep from going in the house? Can you make it under emergency conditions for one week. Take the challenge and observe sukkot properly and with joy.

Are You Locked in a Cell?

Do you have a cell phone? Sure you do. Very few people don't have now days. Some live by them. They do business, keep in touch with their friends, do research on the net, just all sorts of things. You might even be reading this post on your phone.
But let me give you something to think about. If you look around the world you will see that in almost every place where civil unrest breaks out, one of the things governments do is disable cell phones and internet because it slows down communications among the so called "troublemakers".
Be honest with yourself and try to imagine what you would do if there was no cell phone service and no internet and it was emergency conditions. Take your time.
Now pair that up with possibly limited travel and the beauty of life starts fading very fast.
I want to urge each one of you to practice doing without. Every day that goes by is one day closer to the end. Can you spend one day with your phone turned off right now? How about three days? How about a week? Do you think you might be too dependant?
I see the actions of many brothers and sisters is one of "I'll learn to swim when the time comes." They talk about how the second exodus is near or that marshall law is just around the corner or whatever they think is coming but their actions show a lack of believing their own warnings. This is a part of what sukkot is about but we will discuss that maybe next time. The fact is that if we don't rehearse we will most likely blow the main event and cause ourselves and others needless pain and suffering. Practice, practice, practice.

My Journey to the Sermon on the Mount, Carla Newton

Bloggers note: Carla Newton is on my friends list at facebook. I have talked to her extensively and I believe she has a heart to please Yah. She told me that in this article she is trying to place herself right there at the time and hear what Messiah is saying to her. This is a thought provoking article I think you will enjoy. Please leave your comments below. Timothy

How much time do we spend looking at everyone else instead of ourselves? When something happens around us, even within our friends, our congregations, or gathering of brothers and sisters do we focus more on what the other person did or what we did? What could I have done? What should I have done? What can I learn? What did I miss? What do I do now? How should I show the fruits of the spirit in any situation? How do I love and help my neighbor?
What has been heavy on my heart as it should be for all of us, is examining myself in every single thing. Am I behaving as my Messiah would? Am I walking in the character of Him? How did He say we should be?
This has led me to study the Sermon on the Mount in a way I never had. I will share my studies with you as I go. Please search the scriptures yourself, don’t just take my words on any of it. We should all learn a lot or grown immensely in Him and His ways as we look at this.
This is my first installment:
My journey to the Sermon on the Mount
Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
First I had to take a look at each word. What did it mean? Is it different than we would think? One word can mean multiple things especially in a different language.
The word blessed is pretty straight forward. It means fortunate; well off, happy, happier.
Now poor this is the one I really wanted to look at. Is it different than we think now about poor? The definition of poor does talk about a beggar but not like we think. Poor is a beggar in attitude, to crouch, fall, as cringing, absolute or public mendicancy, which I had to look up. Mendicancy defined as the state of being a beggar, straightened circumstances in private.
So then I looked at spirit. Which is pretty much what we would think, human, the rational soul, mental disposition, it also includes angel, demon, God , Messiah.
The kingdom includes a lot we think of royalty, rule or a realm, heaven (as the abode of God) by implication. Then comes the part I didn’t think, it also means happiness, power, and eternity.
This put a whole new light on this.
So what if this read "Blessed are those who are always in a state of humility to others, thinking themselves lower than all, because they will be happier now and eternally."
I feel like it is easy for us to lower ourselves in humility beneath others if we feel they are in authority above us. But what about those who aren’t? What about the person who according to the world’s standards is beneath you? Do you “lower yourself” beneath them? What about the person who according to the world’s standard you should stand up against? Do you? How about the person who just literally or figuratively just smacked you in the face? Do you stand up against them or do you remain humble and lower yourself to them? What about the person who believes different than you? What about the person not walking in truth as you know it? Do we remain humble to them? Do we stay in a pauper’s stance? Are we thankful we are not like “them” or do we know we are nothing and deserve nothing? ( Luke 18:9-14)
This is what I see in these verses and I will be examining myself! Do I stand tall and proud to the world, to some, to any? Or do I stay crouched in humility at all times?
Please take a look at this scripture yourself, don’t take my word on it. I pray my studies will help you on your search into the words of our Messiah, who He was and how He told us to be. Blessings to all! Carla Newton

Are you eating poison?

During a discussion with a friend the subject of food came up. We talked about the advantage of proper diet but how hard it is for the average person to find clean food at the market. Many people don't realize that lawfully, even in a simple can of pinto beans, there may be any number of unnoticed contaminates such as dirt, pieces of bugs, even rat crap. Here in America we have no way of knowing if a product is genetically modified or not.
These concerns are causing some of our people (Israelites) much stress and consumes much valuable time in research and reading heart wrenching and horrifying articles and reports. For some it is one of the foremost things on their mind everyday.
The sad fact is that we truly live in a polluted land. Moral pollution has brought about physical pollution. The people of earth are literally dying in their own filth.
So as Israelites, what can we do about all this? Do we get involved in some organization that researches and petitions the government about these things. Do we take to the streets protesting. Do we search far and wide and pay exorbitant prices for products that are supposed to be poison and contaminate free? Can we really trust these sources not to be lying about their products? Are they possibly selling peace of mind at greatly inflated prices? Who knows? How can we be sure?
The truth is, we can't be sure about anything at all in this land. What we MUST do is rely on our Father and trust that He will guide us and keep us even in the most dangerous situations.
Now I am not saying throw caution and common sense to the wind. Not at all. But I see some of my brothers and sisters afflicted with worry and spending way too much time on this subject and forgetting that there is nothing that will stop the direction of the world. It is headed toward destruction and trying to correct it or delay it is like saying you want to delay the reign of Messiah.
Consider the following verses about worry and poison.
       Matthew 6:25-34
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Here is a thought provoking word about poison.
Mark 16:17-18
17 And these signs shall accompany them that believe: in my name shall they cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 they shall take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall in no wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
These verses came up in that discussion and we realized that no amount of concern, worry, or political action will change the world but we have the Father and He is able to protect his children. Worrying is forgetting to trust and rest in the fact that He is a miracle worker. So if you look in the mirror and see that you are maybe too concerned with what you can not change just lay it at His feet and rest.
Please leave your thoughts and comments below. It will help us all. Shalom

Yom shishi, Preparation day

Prepare to rest. The Father has provided for us.
Isaiah 58:13-14
13 “If because of the sabbath, you turn your foot
From doing your own pleasure on My holy day,
And call the sabbath a delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable,
And honor it, desisting from your own ways,
From seeking your own pleasure
And speaking your own word,
14 Then you will take delight in the Lord,
And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth;
And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father,
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

The sixth month has begun

Sound the shofar because the sixth month began at sundown the eighth of Aug. Wow! The fall feasts are coming up quick!

Yom Chamishi Pt 2

Part two of "Christian compassion or compassion for the christians".
Let me be clear about something concerning this and the previous atricle. What I am pointing to is how we come across to outside people. This does NOT mean that we shouldn't point out the falsity of religion. We can tell the truth about the religion of christianity without making those involved feel hated. Some have a gift for this such as Cheri Dillion on facebook but most of us need some work.
So yesterday we looked back at who we are and what we look like to christians and gentiles. We also went down memory lane and looked at where we have come from and realized how we are not completely detached in some ways. In other words we have come out of Egypt so to speak but we still have some Egypt in us that needs cleaning out.
We saw how we have reason to be joyful yet humble. We have been chosen and have a solemn responsibility to lead by example not judgement. In fact the Book tells us we are not to judge those outside the body.
(1 Corinthians 5:12-13 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? 13 But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.)
This is a sobering thought after learning on yom sheni what wicked is.
So now lets take a look at the christians. By looking back at where we once were we got a pretty good idea of who they are. But lets look at some other facts.
Theologians and scholars tell us that if the bible is taken seriously that only 10 to 15 percent of those who call themselves are actually born again. Well now! That narrows the field down. Who are these people?
They are the ones who take salvation seriously and are deeply in love with the god they have been taught about. But more, they are the ones who have some questions about things but are afraid to ask out loud. They have been raised in prison so to speak and have been taught that the man at the pulpit on the stage is "called by GOD!" They are walking in all they know.
I was raised in Assembly of God and Church of God which are commonly called pentecostal type religions. My father was usually a deacon where ever we lived and went to church. But you know what? He did not agree with everything they taught. For one, he did not believe there is a pre-trib rapture.
The thing is he never spoke about it or confronted anyone with questions. He didn't speak to me about it till I was well into adulthood.
Brothers and sisters, we must realize the times we are in. Things are different. The battle is heating up and the chosen are being woke up and called out. If you are already awake you have awesome and fearful responsibilities.
One is to draw near to the Father and be totally immersed in the character and authority of the Most High. This alone will bring the healing from within that we all need.
Then we need to live and conduct ourselves in a manner that will show without doubt that we belong to and serve the great Yahweh. We must be filled with compassion for those still trapped in prison as we ourselves once were. We MUST, by example, light the way for those who come after us. They will grow much faster than us if we gracefully learn from our mistakes and pass those lessons to the spiritually younger Israelites.
It's not about pride in ourselves or belittling those still blind and trapped in prison. It's about honoring, serving, and glorifying the one who made us and set us free. Shalom

Yom Chamishi

Yom chamishi. Christian compassion or compassion for the christians. I see a lot of people bent on pointing out how blind christianity is. This comes across many times as something akin to hatred. Unfortunately, believers have labeled them as pagan and they call us ...well, all kinds of things.
Let's take a look at the situation. To begin with, let's look at who the believers are so we can make sure the inside of the bowl is clean first. For the purpose of this article I will call the believers Israelites. That's who we are. We are Yah's people Israel.
We, Israel, are the set apart ones. We have been called out for such a time as this. The remnant has always been there but at this point in time we could be considered pioneers. We are walking where very few have walked for many centuries. In all honesty we are searching and picking our way through a wilderness coming out of Egypt while trying to purge the signs and effects of Egypt out of our lives.
And in all honesty again, it is obvious to the christians that we are wandering although we DO have direction. For one, some Israelites are arrogant and prideful. They look down their nose at those who have not been called out yet. I say yet because we have no idea how many are still to come.
Do you remember when we were christians? Remember how we said we served the "God of the Bible" even though in our hearts that whole idea was kind of a grey area? Nobody was telling us HOW to serve him other than to go to church and be sure to pay our tithes and offerings.
And do you remember how some of us bragged about our wealth and said "the Lord" had blessed us but never thought about sharing so the wealth ruined our health with the infection of pride and greed?
Do you remember how we lusted after all the things of the world ignoring the Fathers instruction to the contrary?
Rember how we held the name of jesus in such high esteem that we would never let anyone malign it?
Let's go back to the part about wandering around in the desert. Have you thought about how it looks to someone when we tell them they have the name wrong and we tell them what the "true" name is then they look at other believers and realize that there are at least 20 other "true" names depending on which one of us they talk to?
I have talked to christians who have looked into the 'hebrew roots movement" and they tell me that those people are hateful and confused. We need to take a good look inward before we rise up in pride and arrogance just because we have been given a little.
We have been shown great mercy and love beyond measure. This reminds me of the story in Matt. 18.
21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. 23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ 27 Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.

28 “But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’ 29 So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ 30 And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. 31 So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done. 32 Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ 34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.
So, should we pass this patience and love to those who have not been called out yet? The Father's timing is perfect. If you have been called into Israel be very happy yet humble and know that you have been blessed and chosen for this time. You have not been called to pride and bashing of those the Father has not called into action yet.
The best thing to do is seek to live a quiet, obedient life and let that be a testamony to the world that Yah is. This will cause those who the spirit is calling out to ask questions then we can lovingly show them the way like faithful pioneers.
Tommorow we will take a look at the other side of this issue, the christians.

Yom rvihi

Yom rvihi. Are you carrying an infection?
I have some neighbors who are commercial fishermen. They process thousands of pounds of catfish each week. There are three families involved. There is always one of them fighting infection. Not once but several times one or another of them has been hospitalized with this for days or weeks at a time. It comes from just getting a nick from a knife or a catfish barb and sometimes for no apparent reason at all.
I have hinted to them about catfish being unclean but they say this is what they have done all their lives.
I got to thinking about handling the unclean things and how it causes infection that spreads all through the body. I see a type of this in individual believers and it can happen in the body of believers as well.
It's when we hold on to those things of an unclean world. It's when we love the things that the Father says are an abomination. We always justify it somehow or just squash the spirit that is speaking to us by saying "it's just entertainment" or "surely there's nothing wrong with that".
Take TV for example. Some say there is still "some clean entertainment" produced. But let me ask you this. IF and it's a big IF, there is clean entertainment, are you seeing the commercials that flash into your eyes that try to lure you into buying things by using half naked women or sexual overtones or simple pride of ownership?
Let's see what the book has to say about this.
1 John 2:15-17
15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

Psalms 26:4-5
4 I have not sat with idolatrous mortals,
Nor will I go in with hypocrites.
5 I have hated the assembly of evildoers,
And will not sit with the wicked.

Psalms 101:3
I will set nothing wicked before my eyes;
I hate the work of those who fall away;
It shall not cling to me.

(Take note here of yesterdays post about "wicked")

And what did the early believers think about entertainment?
"We renounce all your spectacles......Among us nothing is ever said, seen, or heard that has anything in common with the madness of the circus (chariot races), the immodesty of the theater, the atrocities of the arena, or the useless exercise of the wrestling ground. Why do you take offence at us because we differ from you in regard to your pleasures? Tertullian (c.197,W) 3.46
Theater was the television of that time.
"Seated where there is nothing of God, will one be thinking of his Maker?" Tertullian (c.197,W) 3.89
There are many statements on this subject made by early believers in letters and writings.
The things of the world are like an infection. They can very subtly spread to the entire body and we fall sick before we realize what has happened.
I will go into music as entertainment at a later date. Please leave a comment here and tell what you think on this subject.

Protecting Electronics from EMP

What is EMP you may ask. Electromagnetic pulses are generated by nuclear bombs, solar flares, or EMP generators. You can google this and learn more. This article will mainly deal with affordable, do it yourself, protection for the prepper. We now know that a solar flare was responsible for burning up telegraph wires across Europe and the U.S.
So electromagnetic pulse attack is becoming a concern for many people. NASA tells us that 2013 will be a high in the 11 year cycle of sun activity. The military is now 99% protected but protected consumer products are extremely rare. So how do we guard our electronics against this?
Actually the answer is surprisingly simple. There is much talk about Faraday cages and how to build them and how expensive they are. But there is a simple way to protect your electronics. You will see this in the videos below.
Another thing to remember, not talked about in the videos, if there is such an event is that it may be an attack by enemy forces from within or without. They know people are preparing. Do not take out your electronics right after an attack as there may be successive attacks aimed at those foolish enough to quickly remove their radios from protection. If you have multiple radios you could pull one out after about 12 hours but if not I would wait three days.
ALERT! I strongly suggest adding a grounding system to what is shown in the videos. Notice the cans in the videos are sitting on bare dirt. If you are storing in your house, a closet for example, what you need to do is simply drill a 5/8 inch hole in the floor close to your can and get a grounding rod with clamp from the hardware store along with some copper wire. Bolt the wire firmly to the can and clamp it to the ground rod that you have driven in the ground. This will insure that pulses are directed safely away into the ground. This is how I do it.

Yom Sheni

Yom sheni. Don't let wickedness cause you to sin.
The following is copy/pasted out of my notes in e-sword and for some reason is choppy in the layout probably because of how the verses were inserted. Those who use e-sword will understand. Anyway, I hope this study on evil and wicked will help you in some way. Feel free to comment. It will help us all.

The truth always sets us free. Free from sin. Free from confusion.

This is one of those things that is key to understanding much of Yahweh's word.

If I were to say someone is wicked or evil what does that make you think?

Some will think of Hitler or baby killers or satan worshipers or robbers or any of those bad things that wicked and evil conjure up in our minds.

So if we don't do these types of things we aren't wicked, right? Well let's see.

What does wicked or evil mean in Yahweh's eyes? Is it the same as sin? (We've already learned what sin is)

The first time we see wicked in the KJV is

Gen 13:13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked exceedingly and sinners against Yahweh.

We see it in another form in
Gen 6:5 Then Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

We see evil way back in Gen 2:9 and 2:17 where it is the same root word as "wicked" in the original language.

The word is "ra" or "ra'ah". Ra'ah is the feminine form.

The same root word is translated as "broken" in KJV or "worthless" in NASB in
Jer 11:16 Yahweh called your name, "A green olive tree, beautiful in fruit and form"; With the noise of a great tumult He has kindled fire on it, And its branches are worthless.

A thorough study of the word and other words using this root will show that the idea is of destroying the original function or designed intent of a thing or person. To move away from the original plan.

An example of the action behind wickedness is a woman with a bowl that is used for mixing bread dough and she takes it up and smashes it on the floor.

We have learned that sin is the breaking of or going against the instructions but wickedness is what leads to or brings about sin.

Another good example is what we have learned about the sabbath. When we moved the sabbath from the seventh day to the first day we were sinning in Yahweh's sight. But if we keep the seventh day and change the design or purpose of the day then we are wicked or evil.

Understanding this will make much of the bible more clear. We can not change Yahweh's design or purpose for things. His word will not change and it will always be the final standard.

2Ch.7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

What are some other examples of evil now that we know what it is?

Yahweh's design for man was to glorify Him. But if man glorifies himself by living for himself then he is wicked because he has changed Yahweh's original plan for him.

How about the heart? Yahweh says it is most deceitful and wicked.

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?
Our heart and mind will decieve us. We can't trust our own ways. But there is hope. We have Yahweh's instructions to lean on and trust in.
If we trust Him as a child trusts its father He WILL take care of and protect us. Any suffering He allows is to form and teach us. To strengthen us and exercise our faith. Exercising our faith makes us strong and leaves room for Yahweh's miracles.
Jer 17:7 Blessed is the man who trusts in Jehovah, and Jehovah is his trust.
8. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters; it sends out its roots by the river, and it shall not fear when the heat comes, but its foliage shall be green; and he is not worried in the year of drought, nor will it cease from yielding fruit.
This should sound familiar. It is also found in Psalms 1
Psa 1:1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
3. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.
4. The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
5. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6. For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish.
Now we know why we see "wicked" and "sinner" used in the same verses.

Speaking of Food

This may be a subject some of you will reject but maybe you should do a little research before you judge. The subject I'm talking about is dumpster diving.
That's right. This is a very fast growing culture of people who now call themselves freegans. They are protesting against waste in America.
The statistics on food waste are staggering. You may want to be sitting down for this. Almost 40% of the food produced in America is wasted. That is 1,400 calories per day for every man, woman, and child in America. Do I have your attention yet?
10% of the total energy used in the U.S. is used just to get food to the table. A whopping 80% of all water used in the U.S. is used getting food to the table.
So what can we do about this waste? Here is a video to watch and you can see hundreds more by searching freegan or dumpster diving on youtube.

Ok, I know you are wondering so I will tell you. Yes I have done a pretty good little bit of this and it is amazing what shows up in just my small rural county. One of my best finds was a bottle of perfume brand new in the box which I sold on ebay for $55.00. Someone had evidently cleaned out a house and put the stuff in a dumpster behind a store.
I have gotten so much good stuff and the competition is tough even here. Diving has become big. Let me know your opinion on this.

Yom Rishon

Yom rishon. Bless the Father this week and you will be blessed. This word bless is "barak". It is a primitive root meaning to kneel. It implies an act of great love or adoration. While we can do this with lip service those who know Yah know this is not enough. So what is the best way for us to show that we love our Father?
